Today NASA Ames organized a wonderful science event starting in the afternoon and ending with the LADEE launch.
LADEE (pronounced “laddie”) stands for Lunar Atmosphere and Dust Environment Explorer, a robotic mission on its way to orbit the moon to gather detailed information about the lunar atmosphere, conditions near the surface and environmental influences on lunar dust.
This was an amazing experience for our kids group that I am sure even the younger ones will remember and will stay curious about its discoveries. It feels like magic to be able to share this time of exploration with children! And to add to the magic, Hangar One was open and lit for the public, a beautiful ending to a successful science night and … moon itinerary.
